Great question! And also, so sorry for the trouble!
If your app is crashing then we definitely want to know about it so that we can get it fixed ASAP. The best thing you can do is e-mail us your crash logs (or post them in the community), because our developers can analyze these to find out exactly what is going wrong.
So how do you find your iPhone's crash logs? It sounds daunting, particularly for the non-tech savvy, but it's actually super easy:
On iOS:
- Open the "Settings" on iPhone.
- Go to "Privacy"
- Go to " Diagnostic & Usage"
- Find " Diagnostic & Usage Data"
- Look for any crash logs starting with Fit.I.Am-xxxx-xx-xx-xxxxxx.ips.synced. The name of crash log contains it’s recorded date. Choose the log that related to the first crashed on your Pacer.
Sync your iPhone with your computer by plugging it in with a cable.
After that, it kind of depends on your operating system:
On Mac OS X:
- Open the "Finder"
- In the top Navigation bar, look for "Go"
- In the "Go" drop-down menu, look for "Go to folder..."
- In the text input that pops up, input this exactly: "~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice" (minus the quotation marks)
- Select your device name
- Look for any files starting with "pacer" or "fitiam", those would belong to us
On Windows XP:
- Go to "C:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter"
- Select your device name
- Look for any files starting with "pacer" or "fitiam", those would belong to us
On Windows Vista or Later:
- Go to "C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice"
- Select your device name
- Look for any files starting with "pacer" or "fitiam", those would belong to us
